COUNTRY MANAGER NORWAY

American Express Meetings & Events is the leading meetings and event’s organizer in the Nordic region with more than 100 employees. We produce full scale large events for thousands of people every year, and work strategically with clients to optimize their business strategies, organizational development and brands by offering content, concepts and entertainment as well as logistics and production on site.

As the Country Manager American Express Meetings & Events in Norway, you will be responsible and lead our Meetings & Events business in Norway. You will be part of the Nordic Meetings & Events leadership team and in your role, you will work close together with other Country Managers in the Nordic and EMEA level. Our Norwegian Meeting & Events team is dynamic and characterized with strong competence and team spirit.

Required competencies and personal skills:

• Solid experience from the Meetings & Event industry with people leadership experience
• Excellent strategic skills and experience from optimizing ROR and client’s ROI
• You have power, courage and enthusiasm and take responsibility is something you take, not something you get!
• Strong financial competence and understanding of budgeting
• You are curious and always open to learning in addition to being competitive
• You inspire your colleagues and make sure our customers are always satisfied with us
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in business Norwegian and English

Responsibilities:

• Budget result 
• FTE productivity, performance and to creating a plan to support employee wellbeing trough follow up meetings.
• Lead the team through the project ideas stage including analysis, development of concepts and presentation to customer when needed.
• Lead and develop the individual as well as the team
• Developing new and sustainable ideas and solutions together with your team
• Participate in and create client activities in cooperation with your team
• Create and follow the Business plan
