You probably already work as a team leader, technical leader, developer or product leader, and have experience of what works and not within agile development.

About the teams:

Currently, we are looking for Engineering Managers for the AdView and Billing teams.

AdView is a team of eight experienced developers, Product Manager and UX. The team mainly works with the display and sharing of FINN ads on different surfaces and formats. Billing works to make various payment types available, everything from invoices to new and secure payment methods between FINN's users. The team currently has five skilled developers but is expected to grow due to several new and exciting developments around payment options.

What does an Engineering Manager at FINN.no do?

The most important task of an Engineering Manager in FINN Teknologi is to build strong teams. You will have the personnel responsibility for the developers in the team, and you work continuously to motivate and develop each team member to contribute at their best. Together with the team you facilitate iterations to improve code, culture and work processes.

You will work closely with the Technical Domain Expert (TDE) and the team's product manager. The TDE is responsible for the technical quality and for prioritizing technical tasks in collaboration with the product manager. The product manager has the overall responsibility for roadmap and priorities. You are responsible for the flow of the team. By that, we mean that you have good execution power to deliver on the goals that the team sets together with the Product Manager. You follow up on existing strategies and will also work on creating new ones.

All teams in FINN are at different levels when it comes to maturity and experience. You will work on taking your team to the next level. Doesn't Daily work? Is Retrospective too repetitive? Does the team have too few developers? Is there an imbalance between new development and maintenance? Does anyone on the team need a mentor or advice? All of these are challenges you may face as an Engineering Manager.
