The job
As the Director E-Commerce, you will develop, manage, and grow the E-Commerce business – globally, but especially in the 25 Countries Laerdal Medical is established. You will work closely with Marketing, Product Management, and Sales to create awareness and drive business growth opportunities. Furthermore, you will be responsible for our solutions’ embedded Services through the Laerdal Connect channel as well as growing the commercial opportunities within our “Online connected” products.
Our E-Commerce ambition is to improve the e-channel both in the attractiveness and traction with our global customer base which prefer online purchasing.
Accountabilities
• Lead and implement Laerdal’s global e-Commerce business strategy delivering on expected revenue growth targets
• Maximize sales through the e-Commerce channel in every local market in partnership with local sales & product marketing teams
• Explore new e-commerce business opportunities, including business through our APP products & virtual services
• Plan and facilitate the adoption of our digital platform and the Laerdal Connect gateway to drive direct sales through e-commerce.
• Drive usage of online self-service solutions (Online educational & technical services, IoT services, software & functionality upgrade services, etc.)
• Initiate the e-commerce channel improvements to achieve a “best in class” e-commerce channel experience in the industry
• Maximize synergies of all online services, including accurate asset management (i.e. having the updated status of all customers devices, their locations and our contractual obligations)
• Collaborate with the local sales companies on specific (large) accounts and distributor cases to convert the account from analogue processes to e-commerce and digital services
• Ensure new accounts/distributors are implemented for e-commerce and digital service delivery
Who you are
You have an entrepreneurial mindset with knowledge and experience from e-commerce in the B2B market, an economical and/or marketing background, and are confident challenging the status quo. Other qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in Marketing/Commercial/Business disciplines (Master’s Degree would be a bonus)
• 10 years of experience in a similar role with 1-2 years of specific e-commerce business experience
• Knowledge of E-commerce business models and business management experience within B2B and B2C sectors
• Experience with web-based applications
• Entrepreneurial mindset, both service minded and resolute challenging today’s approach
• Adept problem solver with analytical skills and a strong business acumen
• Excellent communication skills across cultures and diverse settings, both verbally and written in English
• Positive mindset with a “can do” attitude and eager to learn
The position is primarily based in Stavanger, Norway
