What you will be doing

As Legal Counsel in Gelato you will work independently on a wide variation of interesting tasks in an exciting international environment. You will be part of a small legal team of three and report to the Vice President of Legal.

 You will:

• Provide legal support to the global operations on contractual and commercial issues, including drafting and negotiating contracts in close connection with Procurement
• Assist and give support to Product Owners related to sales, marketing and data protection in both our B2B, API and B2C business units
• Manage international corporate governance and entity management matters for Gelato and its entities around the world 
• Secure good governance by drafting and managing internal processes and policies. Manage risks by using our internal compliance tool
• Identify solutions through tech and data analytics for the legal department to optimize effectiveness and stay cost-efficient 
• Handle confidential and non-routine information and facilitate communication between appropriate departments 
• Work with and support our outside counsel in the matters that they handle for us

Who you are

• 5+ years experience at a mid to large size law firm or as an in-house counsel. International experience is required.  
• You take the lead but also understand the importance of aligning with the team. 
• Be a good communicator, outstanding writing and advocacy skills. You know how to communicate clearly in writing, and in speech.
• All candidates should be business-fluent in English and in one of the Scandinavian languages.
• Work well under pressure in a fast paced environment enjoying delivering on deadlines.
• Superior organizational skills and great follow through on tasks. 
• Be a problem solver at heart with a genuine interest in learning by helping.
