Powersim Software is a Bergen-based software company that for years has been centred around the industry-leading legacy application for mathematical modelling: Powersim Studio. In 2019, in cooperation with Aker BP, we began a transformation of Powersim Studio’s model for production forecasting to a future-oriented, cloud-native Software as a Service. We are at the point where we have confidence in its foundation and are ready to scale production forecasting to a global market while we continue developing the service with new, sustainable industry verticals. To succeed in this venture, we want to expand our team with a go-getting, talented product manager.

As the product manager of forecasting you will be working in an interdisciplinary team and play a key part in the strategy for the company’s leading product, pForecast, as well as in the interaction between customers, sales, and development. You will be reporting to the CEO and be a part of the company’s leader group.

Your responsibilities include:

• Defining, communicating, and owning the product strategy, both internally and externally.
• Owning and prioritising the developers’ feature backlog.
• Dialogue with users, customer representatives, and partners to ensure that strategy and product prioritisation is in accord with the market.
• Overseeing technical sales.
• Be the company’s top expert on the product and provide usage advice internally and externally.

• Passionate about building the best SaaS-based forecasting product on the market.
• A bridge builder at ease with customers and the development team alike.
• Analytic and able to bring clarity to complex problems.
• Skilled in sales and communication.
• Comfortable in a dynamic environment that requires both operative and strategic thinking.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years’ experience as forecasting engineer/analyst in an industry or trading function.
• Experience with product development in an industrial setting.
• Experience with modern, cloud-based software development and delivery.
