Job Purpose and Impact

We are looking for someone like you! The Chief Nutritionist will be responsible for effectively applying new knowledge on nutrition and raw materials and capabilities into existing and new product offerings. This person will support global R&D projects based on strategic choices. This position will provide technical advice and support customers and commercial team during and after the sale of scientific products. This position identifies and implements technical solutions against business goals.


Location: Bergen, Norway.


Key Accountabilities


  • Operative lead of Cargill nutrition system in the North Sea region, with responsibility for product specifications and performance, working closely with key stakeholders in formulation, production and FSQR.
  • Lead and participate in projects for development and implementation of new products, services and solutions in collaboration with the research & development team, marketing team, commercial team and other stakeholders. 
  • Act as the technical link between Strategic Marketing & Technology team and R&D functions, and working directly with other functions to assess opportunities for improvement and provide advice, training and consultation.
  • In the position you will have to stay current with literature and analytical advancements and work with limited supervision on daily tasks.
  • Identify product growth and new product opportunities modifing plans to meet opportunities.
  • Analyze and interprets market data to take advantage of opportunities and minimize adverse trends.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  •  Other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in fish nutrition, health, animal science or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
  • Fluent (written and spoken) in English language. 


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in fish nutrition or similar 
  • 5+ years of relevant experience from research or aquaculture industry
  • Self-starter with good collaboration skills
  • Prior experience in Product Management and project management
  • Fluent (written and spoken) in Norwegian language.
