By providing a frictionless payment journey for the public and a single point of administration for the event organiser, TicketCo is creating the best value for both users and organisers. Through TicketCo organisers can sell both tickets, food and beverages, merchandise and accommodation.
We are a tech company with a vision to create the global standard for all event payments. You need to buy in on this vision, and you need to appreciate both the tech and the event industry.
Since covid we have pivoted into digital events and now have an even more solid market proposal. The future will be hybrid events and TicketCo has the best platform for both physical and digital events. Our main markets are today UK, Norway, Sweden, Poland and we are now growing into three new countries.
This is where we are now. When we are now looking for a new CTO to join us on our mission going forward, it is with the understanding that the event industry is now on the brink of a massive transition that is unparalleled in history. It is a transition that is nudged forward by general consumer trends, but expedited by the massive digitalization effort that Covid has prompted. We believe that how events are marketed, paid for, delivered, and consumed will undergo dramatic changes in the years to come. And we will make sure to continue to be on the forefront of this revolution.
This is a revolution driven by customers and event organizers, but founded on tech ability to sustain those needs, and your role as CTO is crucial for our success as a team.
About the position
As our CTO, you will be part of the management team and have a key role in the further development of TicketCo. We’re a scaleup and at the brink of global expansion. This is an exciting opportunity for our next CTO.
- Priority number one is building a scalable platform for global hyper growth
- Manage the current a team of 7 developers in Ukraine, and prioritizing all development resourcesefforts, and managing the organizational scaleup
- Implement agile principles and improve processes for the purpose of growth
- Visionary digital leadership and changing a worldwide event industry. The physical event business will merge with digital events, similar to the future change in business meetings and business travel.
- Developing and implementing our technology strategy, aligning it with the overall business strategy.
- Providing strategic guidance of all technology and engineering-related decisions, including the product roadmap.
- Ensuring that our technology architecture is cutting edge and support a scaled business operation
- Identifying new technologies that can improve business processes.
Experience we need
You have extensive experience with solution architecture and management of distributed development teams. Your pragmatic understanding and operational experience is coupled with a strategic mindset and the ability to chart a visionary way forward. You are curious about new technologies and are updated on major technology trends, and understand how to put these in perspective of the business needs both current and future. We believe that you have experience preferably from a company with a complex product structure and payment solutions (fintech, retail, etc), or experience from IT consulting companies. You probably have a higher degree in computer science or similar. The main thing we need is experience in building scalable platforms, both architecturally and organizationally..
You communicate well across business functions, build strong networks and thrive in an international environment.
