The VP Strategic Planning & Finance reports directly to the President of Altera Infrastructure Production and will be part of the business unit´s Senior Leadership Team. You will collaborate closely with the corporate finance department, the President, the leadership team in general as well as delivering towards the board of directors.

Place of work is Trondheim.

Main accountabilities:

Drive the overall 5-year strategic planning and annual goal process working closely with the BU President and other BU Senior Leadership Team colleagues to ensure a disciplined, structured and effective annual workplan and progress monitoring. Follow-up the business to ensure delivery on 1-5-year financial targets.
Identify areas of high strategic importance, weakness, and development potential within AIP, assess opportunities and follow-up arrangements.
Own the financial modelling and analysis process for BU projects and assets, within procedures and frameworks set by the corporate function.
Contribute to building equity funding partnerships for new major projects and support the corporate finance team on BU related project debt raisings as required.
Ensure proactive risk management related to the business, including enterprise, commercial and counterparty risk.
Provide strategy and financial advice and support to the AIP President and the AIP Senior Leadership Team.
Lead the AIP Strategic Planning and Finance arena, including for direct and indirect reports, to ensure strong teamwork, process transparency and effectiveness across the function.
Provide quality control of business case and decision memos to President, Altera CEO and Altera Board. Ensure alignment with business targets, corporate framework and timelines.

Experience and education:

Preferably education at Master of Science (MSc/MBA) or equivalent.
Experience from a similar strategic financial role, or from consultancy companies, brokers, O&G with high exposure to management/board.
Proven strategic leadership skills and ability to confidently develop and present business cases for investment decision.
Strong investment analysis understanding and experience.
High integrity and strong relational skills
Ability to turn numbers into value, reports into decisions and data into knowledge.
Great communication skills in English.
