LOTOS Exploration and Production Norge AS is a subsidiary of one of the biggest Polish public company - Grupa LOTOS SA, located in Gdansk and listed on Warsaw Stock Exchange. LOTOS Norge was established in 2007 with a vision to build a strong upstream position for LOTOS on Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS). LOTOS Norge prequalified as an operator in 2008 and made its first acquisition the same year. Growth since then has been both organic, through acquisitions and by acquiring acreage through participation in license rounds and APA. Base production is from Heimdal and Sleipner Areas, and ongoing and future development projects mean that LOTOS Norge is now well positioned for meeting the strategic growth goals for Grupa LOTOS upstream in Norway. Today LOTOS Norge is a partner on 28 licenses. The multicultural team currently consists of 32 people. LOTOS Norge office is located in Stavanger

On behalf of LOTOS E&P Norge we are looking for a Tax Manager. The Tax Manager will have the overall responsibility for managing the tax records, obligations and arrangements of the company. The Tax Manager will ensure that the monthly and annual financial and tax reporting requirements, as well as tax statements comply with regulations and deadlines

Work description

Preparation of Petroleum tax papers, Corporate Income Tax calculation; VAT reporting, Financial statements and other required financial and tax reports
Handle all tax issues including contact with the Tax Office in Norway
Improve the company's performance by recommending tax strategies that align with business goals and comply with the relevant legislation
Proper accounting and tax record of M&A transactions of acquisition or sale of production licenses on NCS
Supervising of Joint Venture accounting
Supervising the operations of the accounting department
Adapting proper accounting methods, policies, and principles in compliance with IFRS and Norwegian accounting standards
Maintaining accounting control by establishing a chart of accounts and defining accounting policies and procedures
Quality assurance of documents, accounting and tax reports generated
Plan and coordinate Joint Venture audits
Main contact towards statutory, external auditors
Coordinate customs clearance of production performed by outsourcing company

Qualifications

Master's degree in Finance/ Accounting or similar
High competence in international accounting standards (IFRS) and Norwegian accounting standards
Strong knowledge and experience from the Norwegian petroleum tax system. Knowledge of the Norwegian Petroleum accounting and tax would be an advantage
Minimum 10-year work experience in accounting & tax, work in oil & gas business would be an advantage
Experience in accounting of transactions of acquisition and sale of assets on NCS will be an advantage
Being up to date with new issues concerning accounting, finance and tax in Norway
Fluent in English and Norwegian language, both oral and written

Good communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently
