The Global Key Account team as a whole provides direction and innovation within the broader Sales & Commercial organization of Baker Hughes and strategy for all product Company interaction at enterprise level. The Global Key Account team has a cross product company and cross-regional overview of the business and reports to EVP level.


Champion Commercial Development moving forward

This customer facing role is responsible for identifying and maturing sales and partnership opportunities in the Energy Transition sector towards oil and gas, for new value chains as well as growth ventures towards a leading IOC and the wider industrial networks. In this role you will contribute to global decarbonization through Baker Hughes’ technology and partnerships with industry.


Partner with the best 

As a Key Account Manager you will drive vital activities including prospecting, strategy and account planning, as well as customer engagement leading the effort from a Norway market viewpoint, within the energy transition sector and beyond. Initial focus will be on our pipeline in Northern Europe. You will contribute to growth and profitable market share expansion through direct involvement with activities such as business development, opportunity identification, development of tendering strategies and contract negotiation. 

 

Working in our Global Key Account Team, you will be responsible for:

  • Customer intimacy through relationships with clients and industrial stakeholders
  • The value selling framework and formal account strategy for business growth opportunities for our Energy Transition and Growth Ventures solution footprint from the local arena through to regional and global ties
  • Clarity of customers’ business needs and objectives, near and long term, to identify value creating opportunities and demonstrate the benefit from partnering with BH to deliver results.
  • An intimate understanding of customers’ strategic needs, goals and objectives, and communicating these to cross-functional teams to translate into outcome-based solutions that rely on Baker Hughes solutions
  • Partnerships with leaders across the Baker Hughes organization in Product Company, Region, Digital and Enterprise Sales to take advantage of common opportunities, experience and best practices.
  • Expediting resolution of roadblocks through efficient network & decision making, spanning the entire portfolio offering and across the complete energy value chain
  • Identifying market direction on global and local basis, drive competitive benchmarking across value chain and engage teams horizontally to create market strategy

 

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

·        Have significant experience in the Energy sector with proven track record of solution

selling in a complex technical environment

·        Show considerable interpersonal skills, including ability to effectively communicate and

influence solution direction to multi-level and cross functional stakeholders

·        Have an understanding of financial tools used by customers to conduct business

·        Be able to analyze market data and present findings in an succinct manner

·        Have flexibility to travel up to 30-40% of the time

·        Be fluent oral/written English, Norwegian language skills a plus
