We are looking for an experienced Logistic Manager who will lead our Production, Ordering and Delivery unit and thereby take responsibility for delivering strong business results and driving functional excellence. You will be overall responsible for day-to-day operations of supply chain logistics and managing inventory.

You will

·      Oversee the movement, distribution, and storage of materials and inventory (including both cars and parts).

·      Be contact point towards HQ logistics teams for both cars and parts/accessories

·      Secure correct handling of delays in deliveries, including external information flow and contact point towards retailers

·      Enhance consistent sales and performance management by acting as a role model in the organisation and in engagements with our retailers and other stakeholders.

·      Understand the underlying business drivers and manage boundaries between the Production, Ordering and Delivery unit and other relevant part of the organisation.

·      Drive the development of the unit to enhance functional excellence, including adopting strategic initiatives and ensure the use of new functionalities and tools.

·      Develop and implement operational plans and set concrete targets for the team as well as for each employee. Ensure that the direct reports understand how their targets and plans are linked to the strategy.

·      Provide timely and well-documented feedback, coach, assess performance, hold direct reports accountable for their performance, communicate and show direction to enable direct reports to cooperate and execute.

The Production, Ordering and Delivery team consist of 4 people. The role reports to the Commercial Operations Director, and you will be Part of the Commercial Operation Management Team in Volvo Car Norway.

Skills and Experience 

We seek a highly competent and strategic leader with solid experience from the logistics field and with an excellent understanding of end to end supply chain. You can handle multiple tasks, maintain focus and adapt easily to changing business needs.

·      Master or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics or equivalent

·      Problem solving entrepreneurial attitude, and a strong sense of organisation, time and resource management.

·      Demonstrated analytical skills and data driven decision-making

·      Proven leadership qualities, and ability to lead projects and coach people.

·      Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as manager with personnel responsibilities.

·      Strong stakeholder management skills

·      Experience from value chain operations or other large and complex companies is a great advantage and / or experience from the automotive industry

·      Excellent written and verbal English skills, other Scandinavian language is a great advantage
