We are seeking a Director of GSS IT responsible for managing the Global GSS IT Operations

DNV GL Global Shared Services IT operates globally, with dedicated teams that are driven by competence and motivation to help and support the business areas. GSS IT plays a vital and integral part of the business, securing that the DNV GL IT platform and our business-critical applications are operational as required. We are seeking a Director of GSS IT responsible for managing the Global GSS IT Operations. The Director of GSS IT reports to the GSS Officer and is a member of the GSS Executive Leadership Team. The Director of GSS IT is responsible for around 450 IT professionals in 20 countries. Together with your management team, you will be responsible for driving how IT enables the digitalization of DNV GL, in addition to setting the direction for how the IT platform is operated in DNV GL. This includes cloud strategies, sourcing strategies, location strategies and technology roadmaps.

In your role you will:

• Drive the optimization of IT assets and asset management, resources, capabilities and sourcing to the best of DNV GL Group’s interest and maximize synergy across DNV GL.
• Ensure management, support and operation of the VerIT Enterprise platform, which is developed through various innovation programs.
• Proactively guide and support the ongoing digitalization and automation of Shared Services activities - across all service areas of GSS.
• Oversee and manage IT and Cyber Security risks to ensure information assets and technologies are adequately protected.
• Provide input to the strategic direction for all group-wide IT services, including infrastructure, architecture, application development and services, IT operation and support.
• Play a key role in managing relations with global suppliers like Microsoft, Salesforce, Oracle, Cisco
• Manage development of ongoing projects, such as implementation of CRM (Salesforce) and Oracle EBS
• Ensure IT compliance and adherence to applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
• Drive the development of enterprise technology standards, governance processes and performance metrics to ensure that GSS IT delivers value to DNV GL.

To maximize your chances, you need:

• A relevant University degree
• Solid experience with leading IT Operations in larger companies, preferably within Shared Services sector
• Genuine passion for digitalization and technology, such as connecting with global IT vendors
• Strong knowledge of IT systems and cloud architectures
• Ability to translate IT trends and see opportunities for DNV GL
• Strong understanding of leading effective business operation and how to navigate in a global context
• Ability to innovate and drive improvements to existing programs and processes short and long-term
• Experience from setting up an optimal IT organization with effective delivery teams
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and ability to lead and motivate others
• Excellent communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills
• Ability to influence, negotiate and build collaborative relationships across the organization
• Demonstrated multi-cultural skills and global mindset with a strong focus on customer service
