Permits engineer

ACCIONA requires a Permit Engineer in E6 - Ranheim-Værnes project in Norway.

Mission: As part of the initial works for a major project a good deal of applications must be handled to obtain the required permits from the authorities. Different parties are involved in this process; the consultant, who writes the application, the construction team, who execute the works and provides input to the consultant, the client, on whose behalf the application is sent and must be kept informed, eventual stakeholders and the authorities providing the permit.

Responsibilities:

-Receives and checks permit applications; ensures that all pertinent information is submitted properly for plan review

-Ensure good communication between the parties and will follow-up the whole process from the moment the need for a permit is identified to the reception of the final permit.

-File permits and plans

-Review submittal of plans and documents for completeness

-Determine that projects have all required approvals

-Processes permit routing sheets and sends to all required departments for review

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:

-Civil engineer

-2 years experience in construction projects preferable

-Microsoft Office Skills.

-Ability to work independently

-Ability to control large amounts of information from different sources

-Point out specific actions along the process identifying responsible persons and provide proper follow-up.

-Willingness to adapt to (and be part of) a team in constant change

-Communication skills (presentations, dialogue with authorities...)

-Languages: Norwegian is a must. Proficient in English (oral and written)
