Firenor Engineering UAE (under name change from Consilium Middle East) is a company providing specialized fire protection systems, safety systems and advanced electrical distribution systems to industries like; petrochemical plants, tank farms and oil and gas market in the Middle East Region, India and Africa. The company is part of Firenor International with its head office in Kristiansand, Norway. The company has two locations in United Arab Emirates with its main office in Sharjah and a branch office in Abu Dhabi. In additional to offices in Oman, India and Morocco.

We are searching for a General Manager a business development minded person that will be leading the company. The posistion will be a part og the international management team of the group. The role will report to Managing Director of Firenor International AS.

Some of the key responsibilities for the role:

• Establish the strategic direction of the company and lead the team members in pursuit of the defined Company business targets
• Implement the company's policy as agreed with the board. Follow and ensure compliance with the company's rules, ethics and associated procedures so that we are always a qualified supplier
• Develop and enhance relationships with key partners, customers, original equipment manufacturers and supplier
• Identify areas for new business growth, and where necessary present to, and seek approval from, the Board prior to implementation
• Ensure that the company is equipped for future customer needs and ability to grow
• Lead and support the employees so that we succeed in delivering according to quality, time and cost
• Contribute actively in sales promotions and contract negotiations in the region
• Work closely with Firenor International's Head of Global Sales and Business Development to grow the company's position in the market as the preferred supplier in the region

Experience and skills, we are looking for:

• Experience from leading people from different countries, regions and cultures in a way that creates value in the company
• Local experience from the Middle East with a minimum 10 years of experience in the region
• Commercial edge
• Higher education from technical subjects and or economics subjects
• Experience with oil and gas business industiy
• Operational insight
• Local business culture understanding
