Project Manager

We are looking for a Project Manager to be a key figure in the construction and delivery of new ships at Vard Vung Tau yard.

The Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of a project to ensure completion on time within scope and budget, managing internal resources as well as building strong relationships with customers, contractors and third parties.

The scope of a project may be one ship or a series of similar ships.

The main tasks of the job are the following:

• Overall responsible for the project from contract signing to delivery to customer and closing of warranty period
• Responsible for establishing the project organization and project plans
• Risk management and handling deviations in the project
• Compliance with shipbuilding contract and building specification
• Primary contact for customer
• Managing change requests from customer
• Coordinate activities with all departments involved
• Monitoring of quality and progress of engineering, procurement and production
• Monthly financial reporting
• Handover and financial settlement with the customer and suppliers
• Be involved in future ship negotiations

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Marine, Naval Architecture/Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• Relevant management experience from shipyard, engineering, consultancy and/or ship operations
• Good English skills, both oral and written
