Information Security Manager

At G2 Ocean you will be responsible for all aspects of information security across G2 Ocean, Gearbulk and Grieg Star. We are 360 employees, managing 125 ships, with offices in Bergen (HQ), Shanghai, Singapore, Vancouver, Rio de Janerio, Melbourne, Rotterdam,  Atlanta, Cape Town, Gothenburg, Hamburg, Houston, Manila, Santiago, and Livorno.

You will be responsible for setting the overall strategy for information security in alignment with compliance and regulatory requirements, technology and business strategy. Additionally, Information Security Manager will lead development, implementation and maintenance of information security infrastructure and processes that align with companies’ security and data privacy needs.

The Information Security Manager is in charge of managing the security team (1 specialist in Bergen) and vendors/consultants by providing both technical guidance and managerial oversight to drive projects and security implementations.

The ISM reports to VP IT. Norwegian fluency is a plus, but not a requirement.

Role Responsibilities

• Aligning the information security strategy with the overall business and technology strategy
• Implementing and maintaining an information security architecture that that meets the current and future business needs of the company
• Maintaining an organization-wide information security program to enable and ensure the company meets information security requirements
• Ensure security considerations are integrated into programming/planning/budgeting cycles, enterprise architectures, and acquisition/system development life cycles
• Maintaining capabilities for detecting, reporting, and responding to information security incidents
• Coordinating a response to actual or suspected breaches
• Manage the security team (1 specialist in Bergen) and vendors/consultants

• 3-10 years of relevant work experience
• Preferably CISSP certified or similar
• Strong interest in information security
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Fluent English and (preferably) Norwegian
