Procurement Director

Plantasjen is establishing the Group's purchasing department. The department’s responsibility will include process and method responsibility for all procurements for the Plantasjen, and will have overall responsibility for all indirect procurements. We are looking for an experienced and professional strategic procurement leader with a holistic mindset. Our procurement leader should have experience in establishing procurement strategies, negotiations and strategic support to the Plantasjen Group. The position reports to the Group CFO and will establish a solid team that aims to optimize purchasing of goods for resale, as well as indirect goods and services through long-term strategies and a comprehensive approach to the categories. The team will help Plantasjen achieve its goals through strategic collaboration with the suppliers and appropriate agreements that support the Group's values and strategies.

Main objectives will be:

• Establish and manage Plantasjen’s procurement department with process and method responsibility for all procurements, as well as have total responsibility for indirect procurement in accordance with the Plantasjen’s strategic objectives. This means having the overall responsibility for all indirect procurement, as well as providing advice and assistance in negotiations to the Range & Supply department.
• Establish the right tools, processes, expertise, information, support etc. for all managers and employees involved in procurement and call-outs.
• Establish and anchor purchasing strategies for the focus area in consultation with the Group management.
• Establish and secure detailed spend cube to analyze the group's consumption and focus
• Manage and coordinate procurement processes and ensure professional execution of procurement processes throughout the Group
• Ensure the right quality, volume and delivery terms through the agreements
• Inform the organization about agreements and ensure loyalty to established agreements
• Conduct continuous monitoring and evaluation of the suppliers
• Prepare and participate in Nordic procurement projects and negotiations.

The optimal candidate should:

• Relevant experience from a similar position, both strategically and operationally, having solid procurement expertise and experience from tenders, negotiation and contracting
• Commercial and result oriented and with good business understanding
• Extensive experience in managing large procurement processes
• Be positive and enthusiastic, good at listening and getting things done
• Strong analytical skills, structured, being self-propelled and able to work strategically and operationally
• Comprehensive thinking, result- and quality-focused as well as solid execution ability
• Good at relationship building, communication and collaboration
• Have a higher relevant education, preferably a master's degree level
• Project management experience is an advantage
• Preferably experience working in a Nordic environment, with knowledge of relevant procurement contracts in the Nordic countries
