Sustainability Manager H&M Norway / Iceland (Temporary position 9 months)

H&Ms sustainability work is recognized internationally by e.g. The Dow Jones Sustainability Index, Global 100 List, World's Most Ethical Companies and Fashion Transparency Index. We’re now looking for a temporary Sustainability Manager for H&M Norway & Iceland who will be working with local projects founded on global strategies, as well as internal and external engagement and communications related to H&Ms sustainability work. Do you have experience within this field, a large local network, strong communications skills and a burning engagement to drive sustainability?



Responsibilities
•Engage, inform and involveH&Ms employees in Norway around our sustainability work.
•Developing local sustainability goals in close cooperation with all functions in H&M Norway. Follow-upand support, as well as reporting to the global organization.
•Engage relevant external organizations and third parties. On-going dialogue and contact. Represent H&M and present the company's work in relevant forums and networks.
•Responsible for planning and executing local projects and activities, internally and externally,related to H&Ms sustainability work.
•Development of messages an dcommunication. Act as the spokesperson in the media in relevant cases.
•Work in close collaboration with Communications and the Marketing teams in Norway, as well as the global Sustainability Department in Stockholm. The role reports to the Communications Manager in Norway.



Education/experience

We’re looking for someone that has:
•At least 5 years’ experience from similar work (other company, agency or non-profit organization). Abroad knowledge and a large engagement within sustainability.
•A good knowledge of media,politics and society in Norway.
•A wide network of relevant contacts; a great relationship builder.
•A big drive and can think outside the box. Takes initiatives, but at the same time completes the task.
•A good project manager – structured and goal-oriented. Likes to work in a team and across functions.
•Very strong communications- and presentations skills (Norwegian and English). Able to engage and inspire others.
