For our Oslo office, we are searching for an engaged, structured and independent accounting professional with good understanding of business.

The main activities for the position will be to: coordinate accounting operations in line with Norwegian compliance, handled by our Shared Service Center in Cheseaux, Switzerland; ensure compliance with Norwegian local regulation, including VAT compliance and filings; coordinate with tax consultant to determine tax compliance and file tax returns, together with responsibility of the payroll processing and other administrative tasks. The position will have a reporting line to Director of Accounting & Procurement in Switzerland. 

Duties and responsibilities

As Accounting manager in the Nagravision Oslo office you will be responsible for the correctness in bookkeeping, which is conducted by the shared services, in addition to supervising payroll for the Norwegian entity.

Other tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Responsibility for execution and compliance on payroll (Visma payroll knowledge is a plus) 
  • Ensure correct accounting guidelines are in compliance with Norwegian legislation and that these are provided to the shared services 
  • Ensure correct VAT postings and reporting 
  • Ensure correct income tax 
  • Main contact with the bank 
  • Contact for statutory audits 
  • Prepare annual reports for Nagravision AS 
  • Assist in monthly and year end closing 
  • Ensure legal structure reporting and internal control compliance 
  • Support ERP and processes improvements 
  • Ensure local payment validation 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field required  
  • 5 years' operational experience with payroll and VAT
  • Good understanding of relevant accounting principles, internal control and relevant laws and regulations, in addition to fair knowledge of the Norwegian tax system
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel 
  • Work experience with matrix structures in an international environment is an asset
