Procurement Manager

Description of the role

• Implement and control MacGregor / OSD strategic and operational objectives in own organization
• Keep record of the Purchasers skill and understanding and propose enhancement programs to boost operational results and motivation
• Execute trainings and educational programs and follow up desired results
• Responsible for sourcing, purchasing and delivering of all components and services for site production.
• Responsible for the contract management of the site production. 
• Inventory management and Logistic handling in projects
• Responsible for the cooperation with the designated Business Line. 
• Responsible for cooperation with other MacGregor companies to identify common suppliers and develop synergies
• Motivate team members, set KPI’s and follow up results
• Ensure that MacGregor Code of Conduct is introduced and implemented in own organization
• Ensure that all activities comply with the Integrated Management System (IMS), the local QEHS System and  QEHS rules and requirement

Key tasks

• Shortlist, assess and accept/reject potential suppliers
• Contract negotiations with suppliers and partners to create best overall cost saving 
• Plan procurement activities and issue Purchase Orders for project materials
• Ensure that product mix enables redundancy in components and minimize risk
• Input to other departments in OSD relative to budgeting and project costs
• Identify synergies in component usage in the total product mix and execute initiatives to collect the identified synergies. 
• Build up and maintain supplier network for steel structure production, and complete assemblies
• Perform work breakdowns in production and propose alternative production sites.
• Internal auditor and perform QA & HSE audits of new suppliers
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Education

• Adequate education at Master or Bachelor level
• Specialization within SCM with good technical knowledge is preferred
• Financial understanding and experience
• Good understanding in commercial / trade legislations
•  Long practice in similar leading position with documented results may substitute for some formal education

Expirence

• 5 years’ experience aim Manager position
• Fluent in English, spoken and written
• Experience in working in multicultural environment 
• Documented results from previous position
