As a Salesforce Functional Lead / Business Analyst for Financial Services you will work closely with our clients and internal teams to act as subject matter expert and drive the design of effective and innovative solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Owns definition of scope inventories, solution requirements and story backlogs (including baselining) for Salesforce solutions within the Financial Services domain
  • Supports re-engineering, definition and mapping of relevant business processes as well as corresponding business change activities
  • Supports definition of business case including relevant value drivers, project KPIs and other PMO considerations
  • Leads a team of business analysts to drive requirement, process and business case related work
  • Facilitates client workshops and meetings with senior client stakeholders on both business and technology side
  • Collaborates with Cognizant’s wider team across Technology Consulting, Digital and Financial Services
  • Provides thought-leadership and industry insight on the opportunities Salesforce provides within the FS domain combined with relevant best practice
  • Owns and manages a set of Industry specific template solutions/components and process libraries
  • Helps to shape Cognizant’s consulting propositions and contributes actively to our community of practice
  • Provides quality assurance during ongoing delivery


Job Requirements:

These are some of the essential skills, it would be great if you had the majority of them

  • Experience in at least one of the following industry areas: Banking, Capital Markets, Wealth & Asset Management and Insurance
  • Experience in defining and implementing Salesforce solutions within FS clients, with focus on business analysis (processes, requirements), scoping and functional design
  • Strong background in either FS consulting or end-user business analysis within FS companies
  • Functional knowledge of FS relevant processes and capabilities
  • Understanding of relevant process and design methodologies (BPI, ERD Data Modelling)
  • Holds at least one basic Salesforce certification (App Builder, Administrator) with good understanding of the Salesforce core products and general configuration/customization concepts
  • Solid project management skills (PMP or PRINCE2 certification desirable)
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills


Additionally …

  • Experience with at least one FS specific Salesforce Industry product (FSC, nCino, Tier1, Vlocity, etc.) desirable
  • Good understanding of wider FS application landscape (core banking/insurance systems, external data providers, etc.) and relevant integration considerations desirable
  • Understanding of relevant Industry capability frameworks and service models (e.g. BIAN)
