Global Procurement Manager

Role description:

Recruiting a Global Procurement Manager is a milestone in Cermaqs plan to develop Cermaq procurement excellence, by enhancing internal global collaboration in procurement, develop and standardize processes and specifications where beneficial and leverage the organisations global expertise and purchasing power to optimize and continuously improve value creation from our operations. The Global Procurement Manager will, in close collaboration with regional procurement leaders, lead development and execution of global procurement efforts in Cermaq. The position will be based in Cermaq HQ in Oslo and report to Head of Group Legal.

Responsibilities

• Drive Cermaq Global Procurement Team (GPT) working together with the regional procurement leaders and other internal resources
• Collaborate across different organizational levels and business leads to provide a holistic view of opportunities across Cermaq
• Ensure annual cost savings objectives for the GPT are set and met
• Responsible for consolidated spend delivery view and reporting
• Drive initiatives to improve performance within each global spend category
• Champion TCO reductions for global categories
• Develop expertise and best practices in the spend categories, including support of development of procurement playbook    
• Support regional procurement functions in improving their effectiveness, productivity and capabilities continuously

Desired experience and qualifications:

• Successful, 5+ year track record within procurement
• Deep understanding of supply base management
• Deep understanding of strategic sourcing, category management practice and 3rd party risk management
• Aquaculture or other marine industry knowledge will be an advantage
• International experience will be an advantage
• Minimum relevant bachelor’s degree, master level is preferred
• Fluent in English, which is group language, and Norwegian, Spanish will be an advantage
