As Head of Marketing, Nordics you will support the delivery of the next phases of Hurtigruten's ambitious expansion plans. This includes the introduction of more ground-breaking hybrid expedition vessels; exploring new business opportunities and increasing attractiveness towards new segments of guests.
The role is key to success in our Nordic markets and you will lead an efficient marketing agenda securing a continuous attractiveness to our brand and high demand for our sailings. You will drive and own the marketing strategy and plan needed to succeed with our commercial objectives in this region. This includes planning and operating the full marketing agenda for Norway, Sweden and Denmark and execute the strategy in a cost-efficient way with high ROI in collaboration with the Nordic Sales & Marketing team.

You have a strong commercial mindset and are in constant search for the optimal solutions that may cost effectively scale across your markets, channels and segments. You have a deep understanding of the opportunities in digital and have a business smart approach to targeted marketing.


You will report to the Chief Marketing Officer and work in close collaboration with the Nordic sales team and the global marketing team and enjoy being part of a dedicated team committed to developing a well-established brand in new business areas and markets. 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Own and drive the Marketing strategy and planning for the Nordic region with clear result goals.
  • Establish and execute the plan in Norway, Sweden and Denmark to support sales targets.
  • Drive successful campaigns and always on programs. 
  • Nurture the quality in our brand in every activity we do.
  • Be a challenging partner to the agencies to drive most out of our budget.
  • Tailor our marketing concept to fit the Nordic markets business challenges.
  • Negotiate partnerships and media and follow up on agreements.
  • Support Nordic Sales Team with marketing needs
  • Support B2B partners with marketing needs.
  • Follow and report on commercial and marketing targets. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business, strategy, marketing
  • Minimum 5 years' experience from operational marketing roles in related industries
  • Highly skilled in optimizing budgets and plans
  • Excellent commercial understanding and strong consumer orientation
  • Ability to work across functions
  • Fluent in oral and written English and one Nordic language. Other language skills would be considered a plus.
