What are we looking for?

A manager who will have the responsibility of managing activities such as job design, recruitment, employee relations, payroll coordinator (external supplier), providing employment contracts, performance management, training & development and talent management.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Prepares, communicates and implements the company’s Human Resource policies, practices and procedures in respect of employees according with HR Group and Divisional policies and instructions;
  • Provides HR advice and support to managers and employees in Applus RTD Norway and ensure best practice of HR delivery according to the industrial relations or legislative frameworks;
  • Collect information and data to assess cost and implications of hiring new employees;
  • Analyze the status of the HR function to understand it and propose formulas to make it more efficient in terms of cost and quality, specifically employments contracts, payroll, benefits, collective bargaining agreement, Expat terms and conditions, etc;
  • Design, review and maintain all employee contract templates to ensure they meet legislative requirements;
  • Plan, coordinate and manage working hours of staff;
  • To oversee the smooth running of the day-to-day operation, including staff attendance, work performance and HR related matters;
  • Deals with Workers Compensation matters; You will coordinate the payroll process with an external supplier;
  • Maintains knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations related to Employment in Norway;
  • Monitor the administration of immigration-related matters, including the application, extension of work permits and cancellation of work permits, repatriation and insurance;
  • Assists with recordkeeping related to hiring, termination, leave, transfer, and promotion of the employees;
  • Assisting the senior management with tasks as required;
  • Ensure sending periodic reports to HR Group and HR E&I;
  • Conducts surveys, interviews, and other research related to human resource policies, compensation, and other labor negotiations; collects information and reports results to Labor Relations Manager or Human Resources Director;
  • Implements and supervises the operation of job evaluation and performance appraisal programs;
  • Attends to the recruitment of suitably qualified personnel to meet requirements of operating and functional areas and participates in workforce planning for projects;
  • May develop training programs, including orientation and induction as necessary;
  • Participate and as the case leadership in programmers about Talent Attraction, Management and Retention;
  • Serves as the initial contact and liaison for intake and assessment of employee complaints
  • Collaborate to ensure the compliance with the Applus+ Code of Ethic;

What do we ask?

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business, Accounting, or related field required;
  • At least five years of professional human resources administration required with experience in areas of Employee/Labor Relations, Recruiting/Staffing and compensation/benefits;
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with several different stakeholders;
  • Ability to deal with multiple complex tasks simultaneously;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Talent Management, Performance Management, Improvements actions (as a result of Employee Engagement Survey)


Knowledge & Skills

  • Advanced technical knowledge of Norwegian Employment Law and payroll
  • Familiar with best practice in Human resources management;
  • Ability to form, lead, develop, and motivate a high performance team and to create a collaborative environment;
  • Ability to act in strategic and tactical capacities; and to lead and implement business-focused HR initiatives;
  • Requires the ability to negotiate and communicate well to all levels of employees and management;
  • Fluent Norwegian and English (spoken and written);
  • Structured, hands-on, pro-active mindset, accuracy and quality focused, self-supporting, high sense of responsibility, helicopter view, flexible, team player;
  • Experience with leading and developing a team of HR professionals.
