Manager Accounting & Reporting Applus+ Energy and Industry

What are we looking for?

Together with the support of a team of 2 financial professionals you are responsible for the complete administration of 5 Departments within the BU Norway. This includes budgeting, the monthly reporting cycle, compliancy with various policies (local or regional), filing tax returns on a periodic basis and first contact during audits.

Your main responsibilities are:

·        Manage the day to day accounting operations and accounting team.

·        Responsible for the monthly, quarterly and annual closing process and Fore Cast within the BU APPLUS RTD NORWAY, meeting deadlines and focus on data accuracy;

·        Prepare and review monthly journal entries.

·        Support external/internal audits and quarterly/annual financials by timely submission of reporting packages and pro-active partnership with the audit team.

·        Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of fixed asset register for all entities

·        Prepare and file various tax returns Corporation tax (VAT, WKR and CIT) on a periodic basis.

·        Prepare the annual accounts.

·        Continuously looking for improvement in systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions , plus assisting in the development and implementation of these improvements

·        Responsible of VAT settlement. Responsible of Accruals for month end, and Inter-Company Financial Reporting.

·        Super-user of the Financial Tools.

·        Support and advice HR for payroll related issues, plus maintaining the link between payroll and GL.

Dealing with ad-hoc inquiries, information requests from HQ .

What do we ask?

Education & Experience

·        Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance required

·        5+ years of experience in a senior accounting role

·        SAP experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

·        Knowledge of accounting principles and practices (Norwegian).

·        Excellent analytical skills and used to reporting of financial data;

·        High sense of responsibility and ability to keep strict deadlines;

·        Knowledge of monthly and annual accounting closing process;

·        Strong organizational and management skills;

·        Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable;

·        Able to further build on and develop personal capabilities of team members.

·        Fluent Norwegian and English (spoken and written)

·        Structured, hands-on, pro-active mindset, accuracy and quality focused, self-supporting, high sense of responsibility, helicopter view, flexible, team player.

·        Advanced skills in Excel.
