Tasks
- Deliver the crewing service levels as required by Hurtigruten Management, with specific focus on crew operations in accordance to agreed manning model and within budget
- Ensure the company fleet is manned with qualified officers and ratings; screening and evaluation of maritime personnel is conducted in a timely and effective manner
- Establish and ramp up international recruitment activities to crew our globally deployed expedition fleet with particular focus on Filipino crewing strategies
- Responsible for input and execution of a crewing strategy to further improve operations; continuous monitoring of the international manning market and evaluation of alternatives are carried out
- Maintain budget and cost control of the Maritime Personnel Department and its related activities
- Responsible for HR Operation Center ensuring excellent HR deliveries to leaders onboard our ships in accordance with our people policies - and processes.
- Responsible in ensuring that work activities are conducted in a manner that protects the health and safety of employees, and that the vessel operations and employees do not harm the health and safety of others in close collaborations with the HSEQ department.
- Manage and maintain close relationships with key stakeholders in Hurtigruten, primarily, but not limited to, all sea staff, technical organization, unions, Corporate HR and operations
- Provide crew projection and future manning requirements for ships and development of talent pipeline within the team
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree from Maritime schools,Technical colleges, or other relevant education
- Minimum 5 - 8 years of relevant experience from the Maritime Industry with responsibility for international crewing strategy and execution, as well as understanding of crewing, HR, ship operations and the major stakeholders in shipping
- Fluent in English, spoken and written
