Spennteknikk is seeking a Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Spennteknikk International AS (Spennteknikk), majority owned by the KB Group – one of the largest family-owned construction groups in Norway, is one of the leading companies in Europe in the fields of post-tensioning, stay cables, bearings, and joints. Other specialty areas include heavy lifting and lowering, as well as the production of dampers and mechanical special products.

Spennteknikk provides solutions across bridge construction, building construction, wind, nuclear, civil infrastructure, and offshore industries. Spennteknikk performs the design, construction and follow-up of its onshore and offshore solutions through its subsidiaries in Norway, Sweden, Poland, Austria and Germany and has manufacturing premises in Scandinavia and Central Europe. Internationally, Spennteknikk is represented by BBR VT International Ltd in Switzerland. The total turnover is approximately NOK 300 million.

Spennteknikk is seeking a Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the Group. The CFO will have responsibility for planning, managing, advising, and reporting on all financial-related activities of the Group. This includes assessing the financial performance of the organization, establishing annual financial objectives that align with the company’s plan for growth, providing financial insight that informs strategic decisions, and overseeing cash and the capital planning process.

Key responsibilities:

·         Direct and oversee all aspects of the finance and accounting functions and manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets, consolidation and reporting. 

·         Provide recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunities and define financial metrics and implement monitoring systems that enable management to make effective operational and strategic decisions.

·         Analyse and report on risks and mitigate key elements of the Group's risk profile.

·         Establish and maintain strong relationships with the Board, CEO and senior executives as to identify their needs and seek a full range of business solutions.

·         Ensure effective accounting and finance policies, internal controls and record keeping are in place and in compliance with regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.

·         Provide timely and accurate analyses of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.

·         Forecast and manage cash flow as appropriate for the organization’s operations.

·         Liaise with auditors, banks, investors, insurers, legal advisors and regulatory authorities on financial, taxation, legal and insurance matters.

·         Develop financial and tax strategies.

Requirements:

·         Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance / Accounting or Business Administration. CPA is highly desirable.

·         5+ years of relevant progressive experience

·         Well versed in corporate financial law and financial and risk management practices

·         Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods

·         Highly developed leadership qualities and interpersonal skills

·         Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Norwegian

·         Travelling is required, up to approx. 20% of the time
