ABOUT THE JOB
In the role as Market Area People & Culture Manager, you are responsible for driving People & Culture tactical and operational approach for the specific Market Area Oslo (incl. units: Slependen, Furuset & Ringsaker Store, Service Office & Customer Support Centre) driving uniformity and scale across units. You ensure close cooperation across the People & Culture organisation by providing operational support and guidance to Unit P&C Managers as well as delivering high-quality People services to units through centralised operational team. In this role you will:

  • Actively contribute to the growth and business development of all Oslo units by being a true business partner to the Oslo unit management teams 
  • Be primary responsible for all people aspects linked to expansion in their Market Area. 
  • Support Oslo market area unit people and culture managers in all operational people development topics incl Recruitment, Competence development and labor relations activities
  • Support Oslo market area unit people and culture management teams in developing a sustainable succession and talent pool

You have strategic overview how to design all process of employment in IKEA, starting from proper introducing a co-worker to IKEA, the team and work activities in an effective and performance-enhancing way, and in next steps to anticipate and develop potential successors for key positions in IKEA. You have an interest or experience in using data from digital sources to gain insights of IKEA customers for business purposes and decision making. You demonstrate strong leadership capabilities and effectiveness in leading multiple specialist team with the capacity to handle multiple priorities, initiatives, interfaces and tasks and apply business knowledge and leverage digital best practices to achieve organisational goals and objectives. You know how to work independently, take own initiatives and responsibility. You express ideas and opinions effectively - with ability to influence and inspire.  For this role we believe you have minimum 5 years of Human Resources experience, minimum 2 years of leading your own team and experience from a global matrix organisation and/or participating in global projects. You have proven record in identifying, assessing, selecting and hiring suitable candidates for a job at IKEA. IKEA in transformationPeople will experience a new IKEA in 3 years from now.
