Our current director of seafreight is seeking new opportunities outside Kuehne + Nagel and we are now looking for his replacement.
As a National Seafreight Manager at Kuehne + Nagel Norway, you will be responsible for our budget, product development, and solutions, as well as for results in Norway. You will be an important contributor for our customers and partners. Equally internally, especially in terms of management, in sales, operations and other product areas.
We are looking for a candidate with solid background, competence, dedication, who actively contributes to higher customer and employee satisfaction, and not least; a profitable growth in the company.
The Seafreight division consists of 9 employees, as well as operations, which is located in Oslo, Bergen, and Ålesund.
The Seafreight Director has a central position in Kuehne + Nagel Norway, is in the executive management team and reports to the managing director.
As a Norwegian Seafreight Director, you will get many challenging and exciting tasks within a good working environment, which contains highly competent and ambitious employees.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the seafreight division
• Continuously develop our products and solutions, hereby strengthening the company's market position
• Develop and implement a strategy for the seafreight area, both nationally and internationally
• Responsible for further developing our strong performance culture
• Reporting on KPIs, both nationally and internationally
• Follow-up of performance and quality goals, as well as the implementation of measures
• Actively assist in customer meetings, negotiations, and re-negotiations
• Actively help optimize the interaction between sales/marketing, operation/branch and other products nationally, as well as our marine organization internationally
• Provide effective and efficient information internally and externally

Your skills and experience

• Solid experience from logistics in general and seafreight in particular, with documented results
• Good market orientation and strong business acumen
• Driven by delivering results, especially through others
• Strong leadership and technical skills
• Innovative, committed and inspiring
• Commercial, targeted and focused
• Reliable and trustworthy - with strong influencing skills
• Very good communication skills
• Good Norwegian and English knowledge
