Onshore Service Managers

Role Summary:

In 2015 Baker Hughes, a GE Company (BHGE) were awarded the Integrated Drilling & Well Services (IDWS) contract for the development of Norway’s largest new field development – Johan Sverdrup. This unique contract called for ground breaking ways of working in an Integrated Team, currently comprising Statoil, drilling contractor and BHGE. The IDWS concept is well established and is functioning according to expectations and the BHGE teams – led by Onshore Service Managers, have so far delivered outstanding results.

Statoil are currently tendering for additional integrated services projects, so the requirement for Onshore Service Managers continues to grow. We anticipate extending the current team of Onshore Service Managers on award of additional integrated work.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Accountable for the BHGE total delivery, and single point of contact to Statoil.
• Responsible for liaison with the BHGE product lines and organization.
• Organise the work in accordance with BHGE Project Management routines.
• Responsible for providing competent and adequate BHGE resources to the project
• Ensure that BHGE global expertise and learning’s are fully utilized in the project. 
• Support Statoil leadership group to ensure all services from the BHGE are delivered in a seamless matter. 
• Follow up on day to day operations activities, liaison with onshore coordinators
• Responsible for personnel optimization offshore together with Statoil operation management and Contractor offshore service supervisor
• Ensure that BHGE operational needs are highlighted and coordinated with the BHGE base organization

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Motivated for a new role and change.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills (Norwegian and English).
• Good knowledge of Statoil operations “best practices”.
• Ability to lead teams across all BHGE Product lines – including our sub-contractors.
• Broad experience from different product lines or projects involving multiple product lines is preferred
• Proven leadership, supervision, people and customer relationship building abilities.
• Ability to think on your feet and accept the accountability of yours and your management’s decisions.
• Note: This is a senior position. We anticipate that motivated senior applicants and senior coordinators will be most suitable.
