Are you a candidate with excellent agile leadership skills?

As Head of Agile Projects you are responsible for Telenor Norway?s execution of agile projects. This include management of more than 10 Agile Project Managers, developing agile project methodologies, and securing the right project management staffing and scoping of projects. You are also responsible for Telenor Norway?s overall project process and governance, including driving the improvement agenda and change efforts in this area.

We especially seek a candidate with extensive skills and experience from agile and digital service development. We expect more of our projects to use agile delivery models in the future and seek candidates that can strongly contribute to improve Telenor Norway?s execution for these types of projects.

You will be a key contributor to ensure alignment between strategy and project execution, and ensure adequate control and execution models for our projects. The role is a key contributor to improve time to market, enable innovation by balancing speed and control/quality, and simplify processes and governance. You will also have responsibilities in project portfolio management.

The person we seek will be expected to lead and further develop the improvement agenda in Agile Projects, as well as act as a strong contributor to the overall improvement agenda for Telenor Norway.

The Agile Projects unit is placed in the Technology division in Telenor Norway, but the responsibilities span all divisions in Telenor Norway. The ability to address and resolve different priorities across all management levels including top executives in Telenor Norway is part of the responsibilities.

Job description

• Lead the Agile Project unit with 10-15 employees.
• Ensure professional execution of Telenor Norway?s agile projects.
• Develop agile project methodologies and governance, including competence development.
• Responsible for Telenor Norway?s overall project process, including driving the improvement agenda and change efforts in this area.
• Securing the right project management staffing.
• Setting and delivering on an ambitious Agile Projects improvement agenda, ensuring innovation and time to market in Telenor Norway.
• Participate in setting mandate and direction for projects.
• Strive for process and governance simplification ? while ensuring adequate control.
• Ensure alignment between project managers and stakeholders - follow up project owners and decision makers.

Qualifications

• Master degree in Business Administration, Economics or Engineering, from Norway or abroad, with excellent results.
• Extensive management skills and experience with proven results.
• Extensive skills and experience from leading agile development.
• Background from management consulting is a plus but not a prerequisite.
• Excellent English is required; Norwegian is a plus but not a prerequisite.
