INEOS E&P Norge AS conducts upstream activities in oil and gas. In the newly established Operations function we are looking to expand our competences within facilities engineering and project management to support our growth ambition. We therefore seek a Facilities and Projects Manager for permanent employment in our offices in Stavanger in Norway.

Responsibilities

As Facilities and Projects Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and leading the facilities engineering and project management competence in INEOS E&P Norge AS. In this role you will lead a small team of people and have direct hands-on involvement in the technical work.
The Facilities and Projects department is responsible for all the technical competences required to follow-up on equipment and processes downstream of the X-mas trees, e.g. subsea installations and pipelines, transportation and processing, rotating and electrical equipment, production operations in general etc.

In your new role you will:

• Be directly involved in supporting our current and future portfolio of assets and project activities.
• Ensure that we make high quality decisions with respect to concept selection, investment, safety and decommissioning activities.
• Provide project management support for the major non-operated project activities, covering both modification and decommission projects.
• Cooperate closely with the Asset Managers to influence operators and partners in license activities and decisions.
• Provide development concepts and cost estimates, e.g. by use of QUE$TOR, for exploration activities in support of decisions for license applications and drilling and development activities.
• Participate in data room evaluations for growth opportunities. Ensure robust technical evaluations and provide input on risk and opportunities for decision making.
• Drive and promote the continuous improvement of performance in accordance with INEOS policies, and promote a safety culture across the organization.
• Build and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify and evaluate business opportunities within the existing assets in co-operation with Asset Managers, Subsurface and Commercial functions.

Qualifications

• Preferably University Degree (M.Sc. or higher) in relevant engineering discipline and minimum 15 years’ experience in green- and brownfield projects, engineering and operations in the upstream oil and gas industry, partly in a managerial role.
• Broad experience with and understanding of the facilities and engineering disciplines.
• Broad experience with the project management discipline (project management, project control, contracts managements etc.).
• Demonstrated people leadership skills including strong communication skills in English both written and oral.
• Capacity and interest in mentoring staff.
• Enthusiastic and proactive team player with the ability to work independently.
