Promote and support pedagogical transformation and the use of educational technology to improve student learning outcomes and create inspirational learning experiences. Develop BI’s centre for learning excellence through research and practice. Executive responsibility for BI’s Learning Lab resources.  Main responsibilities  
  • Develop, implement and support BI’s future learning models in close cooperation with deans, academic department heads and faculty  
  • Gain insight within effective learning activities through research and learning analytics 
  • Support systematic pedagogical skills development among faculty 
  • Support course development and learning design  
  • Explore and innovate to ensure continuous pedagogical improvement   
  • Support production and administration of digital learning resources 
  • Provide training and support for educational technology 
  • Functional owner of BI’s educational technology portfolio 
  • Actively contribute to good interaction and communication between academic, administrative and business interests 
Qualifications 
  • Academic qualifications at minimum PhD-level 
  • Experience with academic management 
  • Pedagogical qualifications and experience  
  • Solid understanding of modern educational technology 
  • Ability to balance academic and business-oriented leadership 
  • Demonstrate a motivating leadership style and excellent interaction skills 
  • Strategic vision and the ability to lead and implement change 
The new Dean position will play a vital role in BI’s ongoing pedagogical transformation to ensure future excellence in teaching and learning.  We are seeking outstanding academics with strategic vision and a motivating leadership style. Candidates must be ambitious and dedicated, with excellent interaction skills and the ability to lead and implement change. At BI, we prioritize diversity and gender equality management skills.
