Further develop and strengthen the academic resources at BI to secure impact on the international research agenda, impact on student learning and impact on practice. Executive responsibility for BI’s eight research departments, more than 350 faculty members, PhD programmes, library and learning resources.   Main responsibilities  
  • Develop an attractive and internationally recognized faculty aligned with BI’s strategic research ambitions and programme portfolio     
  • Promote and sustain excellence in research     
  • Stimulate research based and relevant course and programme development     
  • Secure sustainable pedagogical transformation to strengthen student learning outcome and progression     
  • Develop and cultivate PhD programmes to further strengthen academic quality and to attract top academic resources     
  • Participate in BI's strategic development and actively contribute to building a strong management team     
  • Actively lead and contribute to collaboration between academic, administrative and business interests     
Qualifications  
  • Academic qualifications, minimum at PhD - preferably at professor level     
  • Experience with academic management     
  • Ability to balance academic and business-oriented leadership     
  • Demonstrate a motivating leadership style and excellent interaction skills     
  • Strategic vision and the ability to lead and implement change     
  • International experience     
  • Pedagogical experience and insight into modern education technology     
The Provost position is part of the top leadership team and responsible for further developing BI as a world-class business school through excellence in research, high-quality education programmes and interaction with business and the public sector.   We are seeking outstanding academics with strategic vision and a motivating leadership style. Candidates must be ambitious and dedicated, with excellent interaction skills and the ability to lead and implement change. At BI, we prioritize diversity and gender equality management skills.
