Are you our new Head of Group Tax?

Aker Solutions' Corporate Tax team based in Oslo, provides tax advice and support on tax matters to Aker Solutions Group, including global tender activity in or on behalf of the Group. We need a senior tax expert with management experience from relevant industry, to head up the group tax function globally and who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans within the oil & gas market. We are looking for a Head of Group Tax.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Manage and develop the tax function in Aker Solutions, as well as the relationship with the regional tax resource managers, in order to achieve optimal solutions and set objectives for effective cooperation and transparency and to optimize opportunities within the tax area.
• Support and follow up execution of tenders and on-going projects, in order to achieve optimal tax planning in line with Aker Solutions Tax Policy, all to the best of the Group as a whole.
• Participate in various initiatives and processes managed and driven by other functions in the Group, such as tender management reviews, Corporate Risk Committee, Corporate Investment Committee, various operational and compliance reviews, various improvement initiatives etc., as agreed with the Group CFO.
• Manage tax controversies, disputes and tax audits to the best of the Group globally.
• Contribute to ensure that M&A processes and other structural processes, including joint ventures structures, are aligned with Group priorities and interests.
• Contribute to develop, maintain and update efficient policies, procedures, norms, standards, processes and tools within the tax function and actively contribute to and pursue adherence to and compliance with Tax Policy and supporting Tax Standards and Tools.

Qualifications and Personal Qualities:

• Organizational and business/industry understanding, with understanding of complex project execution
• Ability to work with executive management on significant matters influencing the organization’s business results.
• Management experience, and Leadership skills compatible with Aker Solutions’ Leadership Principles and Corporate Values
• At least five years of relevant tax experience, including from international taxation and double tax treaties, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
• Master of Law or equivalent, or relevant Finance background with specialization in tax
• Takes initiative, acts with confidence and works under own direction.
• Sets high quality standards, and works in an efficient, systematic, methodical and orderly way.
