Operational Manager - Abbon

Abbon is looking for an experienced Operational Manager who will play a key role in contributing to the success of the company. This is a unique opportunity for an industrious leader with the right skills, experience and attitude. The role has two components – production and procurement. Hence, the Operational Manager will have the full responsibility of ensuring an efficient and reliable production process by also having responsibility for procurement.

Main responsibilities in this job is to lead Production and Procurement. Over the next couple of years, especially the Production Department will grow significantly both in Norway and abroad. You will be in charge of building this unit within the company and overseeing that we produce according to customer expectation. You will also be in control of Procurement, ensuring with your procurement engineer cost-efficient agreements with the right degree of quality and reliability in delivery. This secures that production has predictable performance, meeting the high standards and expectations of our customers.

We are looking for a person with Engineering background who has a strong track record from a similar or clearly relevant position. It is essential that you have leadership experience and experience from production for a vendor of components or instrumentation for the Oil & Gas industry. Some background or insight into procurement with strong negotiation skills is also advantageous. Our working language is English and professional fluency is required. You know with yourself that you have drive, dedication and commitment once you set your eyes on a goal. Further, you know that you belong in a management team with the ability to be a trusted partner for the CEO. This calls on both strategic skills, the ability to inspire and motivate your team and an attitude of being hands-on tackling practical production and sourcing challenges. A background from another entrepreneurial or start-up business would be a big plus as you need to be able to do what needs doing and not expect a large organization to support you.
