Would you like to drive value for the Division Aqua Feed (Skretting)?

The Aqua Feed Division(Skretting) covers a total spend (raw materials) of approximately EUR 1.8 billion. The Procurement Team consists of Purchasing Managers and Category Managers at Operating Companies across the world (OpCos). The purpose is to optimise key categories across the Aqua Feed Division.

The Procurement Director’s key role is to drive value for the Division Aqua Feed through a close and value adding cooperation across OpCos. The Global Procurement Director shall make sure that synergies between entities and product categories are fully utilised, and that identified opportunities across the division are delivered.

One key success factor is to be able to interact well with the leadership of the different Skretting OpCos, as well as with other key stakeholders in Nutreco/Animal Nutrition Division.

The Global Procurement Director in Skretting will report to the CEO of Skretting.

Main tasks include:

• Raw material sourcing strategies and contract & supplier management/negotiations
  • Coordinate and optimise global and regional sourcing opportunities. Define, present and implement business sourcing strategies for global, regional and local procurement categories that leverage the buying power of Skretting Operational support to operating companies to cover business needs
  • Manage global and regional specific key supplier relationships and related frame contracts across various OpCos in close collaboration with local procurement/category managers
  • Perform required supply market and supplier analysis, in close cooperation with category managers ( and with Animal Nutrition Division where applicable)
• Procurement improvement projects
  • Identify, coordinate and lead relevant procurement improvement projects, with the objective to generate costs savings and optimise procurement activities
  • Perform spend and supplier analysis across Skretting as a basis to identify improvement opportunities
  • Develop an effective and to the point approach to measure procurement performance across OpCos on cost, cash, service, quality and sustainability
• Team management, organisation and reporting
  • Build and develop a strong aligned global procurement team within Skretting
  • Provide active support to the procurement teams in the OpCos and facilitate effective processes across OpCos/units
  • Develop and manage a transparent and reliable (procurement) monthly performance reporting
  • Maintain effective relationships with the Procurement Director of Animal Nutrition Division to ensure capturing potential synergies between the two divisions within Nutreco

Qualifications: 

• University degree in relevant science subjects
• Experienced purchaser with extensive knowledge in developing sourcing strategies, sourcing policies and procedures, ideally in both direct and indirect spend categories
• Proven analytical and problem solving skills
• Proven negotiation skills in a tactical and strategic context
• Excellent in communications and fluent in English, both written and oral. Other languages are an advantage
• Good ITskills, including Excel
• Willing to travel internationally

The position will be located in Stavanger, Norway, and travel internationally is expected.
