As of February 2018, the Spitsbergen Hotel will be fully refurbished, and therefore will be the only hotel of its kind in Longyearbyen that offers a Premium Plus standard to our guests.

We are now looking to hire a Sous-Chef, to be part of this exclusive concept in town, and together create a unique food experience for our guests.

Arbeidsoppgaver

  • Reports directly to the Executive Chef and Assistant Executive Chef.
  • Managing daily kitchen operations.
  • Responsible for the overall food production, quality and presentation.
  • Setting very high food standard and presentation.
  • Menu creation, alongside the Executive Chef and Assistant Executive Chef.
  • Back of the office work, such as ordering, scheduling, salaries, and inventory control.
  • Implementing and following-up health procedure, IK-mat, HAACP.
  • Organising all the food storages.
  • Start-up and following-up the new food concept set by the company.
  • Adapt to the day-to-day challenges set by the location we are in.
  • Cost- control, waste, and food/menu pricing.
  • Following up with the high-end food trends.
  • Day-to-day task management given by the department leader.
  • Part of the F&B management team, that is constantly seeking to reach the top-level.
