We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Subsurface Supervisor for our Balder/Ringhorne Subsurface team. His/her main responsibilities will be to lead and inspire a subsurface team, delivering high quality subsurface work and being a role model towards the company's values and vision. We are looking for a person who takes ownership, has the ability to see context, build relationships and cooperate with other departments. The position will report to the Operations Technical Subsurface Manager.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Plan subsurface activities and define key goals, milestones and deliverables
Responsible for the quality of all sub-surface work and activities Manage and coordinate the work such that the teams goals and objectives are efficiently met
Implement training and development of the team members, as needed
Work closely with other departments, Drilling, SHE, Exploration etc.

Qualifications

Holds an MSc in Geoscience or petroleum engineering
10 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry
Proven track record in Supervisory or other Leadership position(s)

Knowledge and skills

Strong leadership, communication and presentation skills
Ability to build strong team spirit and initiative
Extensive production experience, including reservoir management, opportunity maturation, drillwell planning and execution
Good understanding of exploration activities

Point Resources was formed in early 2016 following the merger of Pure E&P, Core Energy and Spike Exploration. The company newly acquired the operated upstream business of ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Norway AS, and on completion of the transaction, the combined company will become one of the top independent oil and gas producers on the Norwegian Continental Shelf ('NCS'). Production in 2016 from the combined assets was about 60,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd). With an asset portfolio that includes several fields in the development phase, the combined company has the potential to grow its production base organically to over 80,000 boepd by 2022, and will have reserves and contingent resources of about 350 million barrels of oil equivalent.

Point Resources will have a team of approximately 370 employees. The company aims to develop a collaborative culture with the team sharing a diverse range of skills and working hard towards the Company's vision of becoming a leading player in the NCS.
