The main objective is to ensure that Norwegian develops and follows a globally aligned, compliant and mutually beneficial strategy for people (staff/employee) relations and change, hereunder people and union dialogue. The scope reflects the national and international framework and business environment in which we operate.

Tasks

  • Including but not limited to, strategically and/or operationally:
  • Developing, implementation and executing of Norwegian Group People (Staff/Employee) and Union Relations and organisational changes
  • Develop and coordinate Norwegian Group strategy, policies and guidelines compliant to overall labour legislation and local CBAs, hereunder organisational changes, local agreement negotiations and contractual issues
  • Norwegian Group's representative and interface regarding labour legislation, including first point of contact towards external providers
  • Improve the ownership and understanding of the Norwegian Group's People (Staff/Employee) and Union Relations approach through strengthened communication and information efforts
  • Monitor, follow up and ensure consistency throughout the group on corporate policies and standards
  • A specific focus and ownership towards international issues, opportunities and challenges - detect, propose solutions and secure implementations with an overall Group perspective
  • Development, refinement and implementation of mutual expectations for People (Staff/Employee) and Union Relations
  • Develop and maintain a good relationship with local management, local union representatives and other relevant stakeholders in cooperation with other relevant HR owners
  • Educating, guiding and supporting managers and other relevant internal stakeholders in labour legislation regarding organisational change and People (Staff/Employee) and Union Relations
  • Collaboration with Group HR and other local HR Managers to ensure a Norwegian Group approach to all HR related work, including attending Norwegian Group HR meetings when required
  • Responsible for overall contribution to Norwegian Group HR development
  • Some traveling must be expected
  • Part of the HR Management team
  • Budget responsibility for area
    Since the role is newly established, there will also be room for the right candidate to further shape the role within the framework of the organisation's needs.

Qualifications

  • Lawyer/Legal professional, hereunder excellent educational results in Scandinavian labour and employment law
  • Higher education within business administration, human resources, economics or other relevant subjects is an advantage
  • International experience is preferred (lived, studied, and/or worked abroad)
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Excellent spoken and written Norwegian
  • 5 years of working experience within relevant disciplines
  • Business and solution oriented
  • Superb teamwork capabilities, including networking, team building and people relations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and high integrity
  • Global mindset and the ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Ability to master high work load, prioritise and deliver on promises
  • A strong understanding of and commitment to the Norwegian Group values and culture
