E-Commerce Specialist - Americas
We are seeking a native English (American) speaking E-Commerce Specialist to help shape one of Norway's strongest brands. Our vision is to become the World Leader in Exploration Travel - to support this via our digital channels, we require a sales-orientated, customer-focused, efficient and organized brand ambassador to join our dynamic E-Commerce team. The overall purpose of the role is to generate revenue and enhance the online customer journey. Reporting to the Global E-Commerce Manager, the role will work closely with the local US sales team, global teams based predominately in Norway and our call centre in Estonia.
The E-commerce Specialist role is well suited to an innovative and tech-savvy individual to complement the skills of the E-Commerce team. The position is one that requires thinking outside the box and finding creative solutions to website-related issues. Due to the evocative nature and tone-of-voice in US marketing, we ideally require a qualified individual with previous exposure (living and/or working) to the US culture and marketplace.
Please note that due to the time difference between Oslo and Seattle, some work may occasionally be required outside of normal Norwegian business hours to cater to urgent US requests. Hurtigruten does however, offer flexible working conditions in return.

Tasks
- Edit and update the US website
- Support global and local B2C and B2B marketing and sales campaigns
- Identify bugs and website improvements
- Collaborate with external parties including web developers, creative and media agencies
- Cooperate with colleagues across departments
Qualifications
- Degree-qualified in a business, commerce, marketing or communications-related field
- 2-5 years' work experience, preferably in the travel industry and/or with global brands
- Experience working with digital marketing channels and websites including Content Management Systems (EpiServer would be advantageous)
- Working knowledge of SEO, web analytics and digital marketing (including email, PPC, display, native, social, affiliate and content marketing)
- Exposure to US consumer and trade markets is required
- Copywriting skills are desirable
- Content optimization skills are desirable
- Ability to use Adobe Creative Suite at a basic/intermediate level is desirable

- Native English speaking mandatory. An understanding of Norwegian would be highly regarded.
