Our multidiscipline Field Verification & Quality Surveillance group is organized under Pipelines, Surf and Materials, which is one of the departments in DNV GL's region Oil & Gas Norway. The department has a total of 200 employees in Stavanger, Bergen & Oslo and offers a wide range of technical advisory services primarily to the offshore market.

The group is a part of DNV GL Field Verification and Inspection Technology in Stavanger and is a well established unit of highliy experienced and qualified resources. We work in very attractive and suitable office environment, allowing for involvement across the different proffesional borders and areas of competence.

The group for Field Verification & Quality Surveillance offers services within Fabrication follow up and Verification of:

• Subsea Equipment & Pipelines.
• Topside Equipment
• Well Control Equipment.

The group has a multidisciplinary, skilled and highly motivated staff. Typical job tasks includes:

• Quality Surveillance during fabrication and installation
• NDT, Welding and/or coating competence according to recognized schemes or standards
• Comprehensive contact with clients and involvement in marketing, as well as project management will be an integrated part of the job together with technology based services.
• Review and approvals of procedures and method statements during qualification of projects
• Identify and develop market opportunities into projects
• Develop the services provided by Section/Department
• Participation in internal R&D and service development projects

Our goal is to provide competence and experience in such a way that our customers get optimal solutions based on safety, environment and cost – first time. We need to strengthen our staff, therefore DNV GL in Stavanger seeks for a motivated engineer within Quality Surveillance and Verification.

Position Qualifications:

• Wide competence and experience from fabrication and installation phase for objects/assets in the Oil & Gas Industry.
• A solid Technical background with preferably relevant university degree e.g. MSc or BSc within Materials technology, welding,  corrosion or equivalent.
• NDT level II certificates.
• The ideal candidate has 10 years experience within one or more of the above fields.
• Good command of English both spoken and written
• Has to be permanently based in Stavanger
• Flexibility with respect to local and global travelling  
• A goal and solution oriented work attitude
• Commercial mindset and an interest in taking initiatives
• A desire to work with problem solving for our clients
• Good communicative and writing skills.
