Do you want to be part of this growth?

As Global Sales Director, Meetings & Events (M&E), you lead all aspects of the sales cycle from initial prospecting and market development to closing, by communicating the value of M&E in an effort to enhance greater adoption of our products and services. You are dedicated to the growing the services penetration, from Egencia's existing customers, through the establishment and ongoing development of a team of sales professionals.

You will lead a team that is growing globally, and will love travel, as due to the scope of this position you will be travelling up to 60% of your time.

Key deliverables

  • Run the activities and performance of sales professionals teams to meet and exceed regional quotas, set expectations and provide guidance and direction as needed
  • Implement and improve strategies which will allow achievement of sales, revenue and market share targets; initiate strategic sales efforts with national and multi-national business opportunities
  • Negotiate major deals and maintain key customer contacts at senior levels (Corporate Travel Managers, CEOs, CFOs, Directors of Procurement, etc.)
  • Create, maintain and execute a business plan with goals and objectives for the region based on opportunity, customer needs, and Egencia's strategic direction
  • Regularly reassess the customer base to identify high-value customers and ensure resources are assigned appropriately
  • Liaise with internal partners to identify regional and global opportunities for supporting Egencia's strategy with industry and financial analysts, and the media, as well as to ensure a strong base of reference customers to help in closing business
  • Collaborate with internal and external business partners to build, maintain and implement business plans to support the corporate sales effort and globalization efforts

Who you are

You will have a proven track record of success in sales and sales leadership positions, with the ability to train, develop and continuously improve sales teams in all aspects of the sales process and well as client relationships and building value within that relationship.

You will demonstrate a high level of professionalism and confidence in all communications inside and outside Egencia, being able to build positive relationships and be comfortable in a client facing environment.
