PRA Group Europe is currently looking for a competent and ambitious Financial Model Analyst/Controller. You will become part of the company's finance team and will report to Head of Controlling and Treasury Europe. The Financial Model Analyst performs the monthly run of business specific KPIs and forecasts PRA Europe's financial statements by using in-house, VBA-based models.

Responsibilities

maintain and improve the VBA models that are a key asset for the position
monthly calculation and reporting of business specific "return" metrics
post-acquisition monitoring of debt portfolios
scenario and sensitivity analysis, as well as variance analysis for management's review
provide support in the annual budget process and goodwill testing, as well as quarterly forecasts
collaborate with different stakeholders at all levels and assist with a wide variety of ad-hoc financial analysis
interaction with management

Qualifications

ability to present complex information in a "commercial" manner
analytical thinker with ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve complex problems
strong organizational skills and attention to details
ability to multi-task and work in a challenging, fast paced environment
strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude

Personal skills

master's degree in Finance/Economics/Accounting/Industrial Economy or similar, with understanding of concepts from Statistics/Mathematics/Econometrics
2-5 years of experience in finance, banking or similar
great academic results
financial modeling experience and understanding of financial statements
prior forecasting and ability to read VBA based codes represents a plus
superior skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in English and Norwegian
