Job Summary:
- Accountable for the design and development of new products that are competitive and profitable
- Improving designs on current products
- Test products at field locations.
- Researches customer requirements to ensure maximum product application.
- Participates in engineering society task groups and sales/engineering presentations.
- Guides and coordinates efforts of drafters and technicians.
- Provides informal guidance and support while leading activities and technical discussions, facilitating the integration to new team members.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field. 6 - 8 years of relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of engineering software packages such as CREO, AUTOCAD, Math CAD or Autodesk Inventor.
- Working knowledge of industry codes and standards such as ISO and API.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good working knowledge of mechanical design/troubleshooting, and computer applications
- Knowledge of production processes and cost determination methods.
