Note: We are moving to Aksdal in a third quarter of 2017.

Responsibilities:

• developing mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from operators;
• discussing and solving complex problems with production department, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers;
• making sure a product can be made reliably and will perform consistently in specified operating environments;
• recommending modifications following prototype test results;
• producing and implementing designs and test procedures;
• assembling and testing prototypes;
• writing reports and documentation.

Qualifications:

• degree in mechanical engineering (or equivalent);
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role;
• proven experience in using design/modelling software (3D/2D) – SolidWorks would be beneficial;
• sound knowledge in the development of sheet metal and CNC components;
• a high level of technical knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to practical problems.
