Group Financial Controller

About the job

Overall responsibility for the group’s consolidated balance sheet and eliminations, and contributor in different accounting and auditing matters. The role includes both internal and external reporting, continuous improvements, and being a business partner and advisor for the Group.

• Search for continuous improvement in balance sheet reconciliations and prepare risk assessment of the balance sheet accounts
• Prepare statutory accounts for Norwegian companies
• Prepare corporate tax returns for Norwegian companies
• Main responsible for process of preparation and submission of supplementary packs to the parent company
• Participant in assessments of complex accounting matters
• Contact point for the auditor and ensure an efficient audit process
• One of the system owners of the group's consolidation system and tools
• Support on queries on VAT
• Maintain SAFT accounts
• Various ad hoc queries on accounting and VAT

As a valued colleague in Elkjøp Nordic you are the person both colleagues and customers rely on. To succeed in the role we think it is important that you posess some of the following competencies:

• Higher relevant education and HRS / MRR would be advantage
• A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience, preferably from auditing or in a similar role
• Solid expertise in accounting
• Knowledge with consolidation and consolidation tool is preferable, and also good understanding of ERP systems, and accounting
• Knowledge of VAT and tax in Norway
• Knowledge of Bookkeeping Act
• Some experience with preparing Financial statements and tax paper through year end program
• Experienced user of Excel and Office suite
• Fluent in Norwegian and English
