Swedbank’s Norwegian branch is looking for an experienced economist to join the Nordic macro team. In this role, you will have end-to-end responsibility for producing and communicating regular macroeconomic updates and insights to both internal stakeholders and our corporate and institutional clients. The role offers autonomy and the opportunity to shape it based on your expertise. As part of a highly competent and collaborative Nordic team, you will contribute to our broad economic view and play a key role in positioning the bank as a trusted advisor in the market.

What is needed in this role:

• Deep understanding of global macroeconomic policy, central banking and financial markets

• Experience in engaging in media, forums or panels

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in teams

• Master’s degree in economics, finance, business or similar

• 8+ years’ experience within the banking industry, investment management or in similar fields

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex economic concepts

• Fluency in Norwegian and English
