HSE Advisor - E39 Norway - Civil Engineering F/H

Eiffage, through its subsidiary Eiffage Génie Civil, has won the design-build contract awarded by Statens Vegvesen, a company owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Transport, to build the new section of the E18-E39 urban motorway between Gartnerløkka and Kolsdalen in Kristiansand, Norway, at a cost of more than €234 million1 (NOK 2,755 million2).

The aim of the contract is to increase the capacity of the main interchange providing access to the city centre and port activities of the country's 6th largest city. It involves the construction of a 1.4 km 2x2 lane motorway in a dense urban area, including the construction of 12 structures, the reconstruction of 1.5 km of track, as well as the redevelopment of the existing ferry terminal and the installation of electrical and traffic engineering equipment.

This new contract won by Eiffage Génie Civil strengthens the Group's position in Norway, where it is currently carrying out design-build work on lots 1, 2 and 3 of the E18 motorway (section between Langangen and Rugtvedt) on behalf of Nye Veier, a company owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Transport.

YOUR FUTURE ENVIRONMENT

We are in an exciting period of new opportunities in Europe. We are strengthening our international team and have recently won the contract to build the new section of the E18-E39 motorway in Kristiansand, Norway.

The project includes:

• 1.4 km of 2x2 lane motorway in a busy urban area
• 12 structures
• 1.5 km of road reconstruction
• Ferry terminal upgrades
• Electrical and traffic systems installation

This adds to Eiffage's ongoing work on other E18 sections in Norway.

YOUR MAIN TASKS

You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of works activities onsite.

• Help implement the Health & Safety Plan on site
• Ensure compliance with Startbank, HMS reg, and Effera
• Perform risk assessments and suggest safety improvements
• Promote use of the Safety Force tool
• Track OHS data and report trends to site management
• Lead weekly site inspections with the team and subcontractors
• Do regular checks and audits to spot risks or good practices
• Support accident/incident investigations
• Deliver safety inductions for staff, subcontractors, and visitors

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Good communication skills - English and Norwegian

• Extensive experience in Health and safety in construction or industry
