We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Safety Manager Onshore – Norway to drive safety performance across our operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety and customer satisfaction are consistently achieved.
About the Role
Reporting Line:
The Safety Manager Onshore – Norway will report directly to the QHSE Director Eastern Hemisphere, playing a vital role in our safety leadership team.
Position Overview:
As Safety Manager Onshore in Norway, your mission will be to uphold and further develop our safety culture by implementing industry-leading practices, ensuring compliance, and fostering continuous improvement across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Maintain Safety Processes: Ensure safety procedures align with internal standards, client requirements, and governing regulations.
- Safety Studies & Recommendations: Conduct safety assessments and analysis, providing actionable recommendations for improvements.
- Risk Management: Maintain and enhance internal risk management processes; support Norway risk owners in conducting, maintaining, and evaluating safety risk analysis.
- Emergency Response: Lead and support emergency response planning and management for Norway according to Archer Emergency Response procedures.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate, analyze, and follow up on all safety-related incidents, including Oiltools offshore operations..
- Tender Support: Participate in safety-related aspects of tender processes for Norway.
- Safety Actions & Planning: Follow up on safety actions within the yearly QHSE plan, ensuring timely implementation.
- Audits & Continuous Improvement: Assist with internal and external safety audits, follow up on recommendations, and facilitate safety reviews with the goal of continuous improvement.
- KPI Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly safety KPIs, ensuring performance transparency.
- Safety Meetings & Learning: Participate in HSE meetings, hazard identification exercises (SJA/HAZID), and disseminate lessons learned to promote safety awareness.
Qualifications & Skills
- Higher relevant education (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) in a safety, engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years of QHSE experience, preferably within the offshore or industrial sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of HSSE systems, risk assessment tools, and emergency response procedures.
- Strong business understanding and safety leadership capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in both Norwegian and English (spoken and written).
- Proven ability to lead safety initiatives, conduct investigations, and foster a safety-first culture.
